Editorial and corrections policy

Calculator rules and guides should be useful, source-led and explicit about their limits. This policy describes how Notice Date AU prepares and corrects content.

Primary sources first

Rule claims are based primarily on current Queensland RTA and NSW Government or Fair Trading materials. Third-party explanations may help identify issues but do not replace primary verification.

Deterministic calculations

The calculator does not ask an AI model to select a legal rule. User answers select versioned rule data, and code performs the date arithmetic.

Review and update dates

Supported rules include a source and last-verified date. Material corrections are recorded on the Sources and updates page.

Limits and uncertainty

Unsupported, ambiguous or fact-dependent pathways are labelled for an official check. Content distinguishes calculation assistance from legal advice.

Advertising independence

Future advertising, affiliate or sponsorship arrangements will not determine calculator outcomes or alter the interpretation of cited sources. Paid placement will be identified.

Corrections

Send correction requests to [email protected] with the affected URL and supporting official source. Substantiated material errors should be corrected promptly and reflected in the update record.
